Job Title: Bricklayer’s Labourer
Location: Sunderland

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Bricklayer’s Labourer to join our clients team and support a skilled bricklayer on various construction projects for a housing association. The ideal candidate will assist with preparing materials, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and ensuring the bricklayer has everything required to complete tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of Bricklayers Labourer:

• Assisting the bricklayer with preparing and mixing mortar to the correct consistency.
• Carrying and transporting bricks, blocks, and other materials to the worksite.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, removing debris, and disposing of waste.
• Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Ensuring materials are stocked and readily available for the bricklayer.
• Setting up work areas, including scaffolding and safety barriers where required.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Performing additional tasks as directed by the bricklayer or site manager.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar labouring or construction role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
• Awareness of on-site health and safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

• CSCS card (preferred but not mandatory).
• Full UK driving license.
