Location: Alnwick
Salary: Competitive
Our client is currently looking for Quantity Surveyors / Senior Quantity Surveyors ideally with experience within housebuilding to come and join their Commercial Team. You will be joining a close knit and dynamic expanding team liaising with and working across all departments to deliver their high quality Developments throughout the North East of England.
Key Duties
- Procurement of sub-contract tender enquiries
- Preparation of site start budgets
- Monitoring of costs and preparation of valuations detailing savings and losses to be presented to Commercial and Finance Director
- Processing sub-contract payments including variations
- Preparation and payment of directly employed Groundworkers, Bricklayers and Joiners wages
- Cost and procurement management of clients variations, both standard and bespoke
- Liaising across all departments to ensure cost efficient management
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic qualifications commensurate with the position
- Preferably experienced working within the Commercial Department of a Housebuilder
- Strong IT skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the industry
- Full driving licence

- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Good problem solver
- Numerate and able to present information clearly
