Assistant Site Manager

Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Regeneration and retrofit contractor in Leicester to hire a freelance Assistant Site Manager to assist on a reactive maintenance and repairs scheme on behalf of the council in tenanted properties. The duration of the contract is for 12 months work but it could be extended.

The successful Assistant will preferably come from a background within the social housing sector and worked on similar schemes previously.

Responsibilities:

• Managing trades such as Joiners, Bricklayers, Plumbers, Plasterers to carry out repairs/maintenance in tenanted properties.
• Overseeing project schedules and ensuring work is completed within set deadlines.
• Reporting progress to senior management.
• Ensuring work is completed to the agreed high standards.
• Coordinating teams of workers and subcontractors
• Maintaining quality control checks
• Signing off and handing completed work over to the client
• Ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are being adhered too

Requirements & Experience

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• First Aid AT Work
• Previous experience in the Social Housing Sector as a Manager/Supervisor
• Own transport

Benefits

• Monday – Friday working week, 40 – 45 Hours per Week
• Long Term Contract – 12 Months but could be extended
• 25 Per Hour CIS or UMB payment
• Mileage Paid
