Are you an experienced Semi-skilled Construction Operative looking for a new role with a great employer? This is an exciting time to join us and work within our new in-house repairs team in the North Lakes, Cumbria.?

You?ll help us carry out high-quality, right first-time maintenance across our responsive and void properties. If you fancy working alongside a brilliant team, then read on?

Typical day as our Semi-skilled Construction Operative

• Safely drive company vans, ferrying materials, tools, and equipment to various locations.

• Loading, unloading and supporting the maintenance and repair teams with general tasks like carrying and installing.

• Keep tools sharp, adhering to health and safety.

• Maintaining a tidy workspace and taking on additional duties as directed.

• Supporting our trades including Joiners, Roofers, Bricklayers, Plumbers etc to achieve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers? homes. This includes repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments.

• Working in our properties in the North Lakes, Cumbria. All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have

• A full current driving licence, as you?ll be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

• A track record in a similar semi-skilled or labourer role

• Confidence in safely operating company vehicles and handling materials and tools.

• Physically able to lift and carry heavy objects with ease.

• You have a basic familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintenance and repairs, ready to lend a hand where needed.

• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.

• Working Monday to Friday, you?ll may be asked to take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis.

• Our office base is currently Maryport, although we are currently sourcing a new depot that will be within a nearby location. ?

• You must be able to use technology for logging jobs and completing online learning.

• You?ll need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
